Year End 2025

Year End Reflections

Wont lie this year has not been the easiest.  What has made it difficult is that the challenges encountered have not come from the expected places.

This year I produced the least amount of personal work and my client work has also been down.  As I review the year though I realise I spent quite a bit of this year building learning and thinking of the future.

For the first time I built my own PC for work.    I managed to complete it before RAM and GPU prices took off.

I did a complete rebuild of my website.  This was not planned but the result of a failed update.   So an unwanted task but I learned alot about website architecture.

I bought a  3D printer and learned how to print and create models for printing.  I wanted to move more towards producing physical work and this is the start of that.

There is no denying my business has been irreversibly impacted by the use of AI.  The proliferation and ability of anyone to word prompt an AI model to create multiple images or videos in seconds devalues any of the work I could produce.

As the markets change I will continue to change and learn new skills but also return to where I began with traditional methods like oil painting and pen and ink work and explore them further.

So this year has been alot of  building structures that will hopefully sustain the business into the future.

Wishing all of you a happy and peaceful Christmas and a great New Year and a special thank you who have supported me in any way this year and in previous years.

Looking forward to 2026!
