All in One

All in One

A client in Reykjavik asked me to explain an entire city’s engineering infrastructure in one animation. Geothermal heating. Smart traffic monitoring. Water provision. Sewage processing, Energy conservation. All the data flowing to a central hub — and it had to feel unmistakably Icelandic.
So we built a miniature Reykjavik. Low-poly, isometric, with Hallgrímskirkja, Harpa, the city hall, and the national football stadium each playing a role in a living smart-city system. Most technically challenging detail: snow falls and then melts over the football pitch to show the underfloor heating working. Favourite detail are the ducks swimming in the duck pond. Not a critical detail but necessary. This is what I like to make animation for engineering — moving complexity to something people can actually see.
