A science fiction animation based of Star Wars and the Tatooine planet

This project was a merger of  2D and 3D animation techniques. The scene was  painted in Photoshop and created on multiple layers.  Each layer  was brought into the 3D program Blender.  There they were arranged to create depth and overlap. Additional lighting was added and animated to cycle.  The stars were created using particle effects.  Finally everything was animated to cycle.
