The Pandora Myth

Better late than never

Inspired by the myth of Pandora. Pandora releases all the evils into the world. Hope is also among these evils and it remains.

This animation started out as the template for the Pwnisher chasms call challenge. The plan was to create an entry but other projects demanded my time and I had initially scaled back the scope of the project. One of the early decisions was to use a toon like render. The other was to use bought character props. This was to allow me to work up to the deadline by shortening the render time. Unfortunately I never managed to clear enough time to get to that render. The deadline passed and I was left with a WIP file and no submission. Instead of abandoning it I decided to continue. I kept all the constraints of the challenge except the time limit. Originally this was 5 seconds but as it was now exclusively a personal project I increased it to tell a fuller story.

All the animation was in Blender with editing in DaVinci Resolve.

Starting Template

For the challenge a file provided the camera angle, movement and shelf area.  All else could be replaced.
